OWNER & VETERINARIAN
Amy J. Smith, DVM
Dr. Smith grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a young age. She attended Lipscomb University for her undergraduate studies and attended veterinary school at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating in 2016, Dr. Smith and her husband, Ryan, returned to the Nashville area where she has worked in corporate practice, private practice, and as a relief veterinarian. Dr. Smith has two daughters, three dogs, and one cat. In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys camping and traveling with her family.
Dr. Smith knows firsthand the immeasurable loss when saying goodbye to a beloved pet. Her heart dog, Bentley, who inspired the business name and is pictured above, passed away in 2018 at the age of 17. The decision to humanely euthanize Bentley was a difficult decision for Dr. Smith to make, but she knew she wanted to give him a peaceful and dignified death. Dr. Smith is passionate about providing a tranquil, beautiful end of life for her patients and has undergone specific training through The Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) to provide exceptional service for your family.
